Bardstown Bourbon Company Unveils Exclusive French Oak Finished Blend
Bardstown Bourbon Company has launched its new Distillery Reserve Series with an innovative French oak barrel-finished bourbon, exclusively available at its gift shops in Bardstown and Louisville. This limited-edition release is a blend of Kentucky bourbons aged between 9 and 18 years, with the primary components being a 14-year-old (45%) and an 18-year-old (37.5%). What makes this release truly special is its finishing barrels, crafted from the Berce Forest in the Loire Valley, which was used to rebuild parts of the the Notre Dame Cathedral after the 2019 fire. With only 2-9 barrels per blend, these small-batch experiments by blender Dan Calloway will be released in 375ml bottles at a suggested price of $100, only at their Bardstown and Louisville locations.

As a longtime fan of Bardstown Bourbon Company, I admire their continuous innovation, from their Fusion and Discovery Series to their unique finishing techniques and support for up-and-coming brands. This latest release is yet another example of their dedication to pushing boundaries in the bourbon world. I was fortunate enough to receive a sample and can’t wait to dive in, explore its complexity, and share my full review soon. With the overwhelmingly positive feedback so far, it looks like Bardstown has another hit on its hands.
