Little Book Chapter 8: Path Not Taken

ABV: 59.1%

During a visit to Jack Rose in Washington, D.C.—one of the best whiskey bars I’ve ever experienced—I had the chance to try Little Book Chapter 8. While I was initially skeptical, given my mixed feelings on past releases, this bourbon/rye blended whiskey exceeded expectations. It delivered a creamy mouthfeel on the front palate before transitioning into a well-balanced rye spice, with notes of mint and sweetness adding depth.

This being a bourbon and rye blend, the spice didn’t hit immediately but developed gradually, making each sip more intriguing. The balance of texture, spice, and sweetness made this one of the best “Bou-Rye” whiskeys I’ve ever had. With a score of 92, I’m looking forward to seeing what Little Book Chapter 9 has in store.
