Maker’s Mark Keeper’s Release: Another One To Hunt Down

Maker’s Mark has introduced a new bourbon to its Wood Finishing Series called the Keeper’s Release. Fans of Maker’s Mark know the brand has expanded beyond its classic wheated bourbon. The company has experimented with stave finishes different proofs, and longer aging processes, including their Cellar Aged product. This latest offering promises a rich, oak-forward flavor profile with hints of seasoned wood, caramelized sugar, and tobacco. While the exact stave combination remains unclear, we know the bourbon blends two batches. Each batch aged with 10 staves for 5 to 9 weeks before bottling at 109.2 proof. This new release seems to continue Maker’s Mark’s trend of creating unique and flavorful expressions.

If you loved the Heart Release from last year, this one deserves your attention. It seems it’ll begin as a distillery-exclusive release, but if past patterns hold true, we expect to see it reach wider availability soon. As a long-time Maker’s enthusiast, I’ll hunt this bottle down. If you’re unsure about Maker’s, these Wood Finishing Series releases show you how versatile their bourbon can be.
